Before Use
This product supports four sound transmission options. Users can choose the
appropriate sound transmission method in different situations.
Bluetooth sound transmission (recommended)
Click “Audio output” in the homepage of OttoScreen and choose CarPlay/Auto icon (icon
with Bluetooth). Connect your iPhone/Android smartphone to Bluetooth of the car and
switch the car's audio channel to Bluetooth mode (the method may vary depending on
the car's audio settings).
In this state, when using wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, the sound will be transmitted to
the audio system of car via Bluetooth, and the microphone of the car will be used for
calls/voice assistants, providing the best sound quality.
Note: This method requires the car to have built-in Bluetooth functionality.
AUX cable sound transmission
If your car has a 3.5mm AUX audio input interface, you can also use this method.
Click “Audio output” in the homepage of OttoScreen and choose AUX icon. Use a 3.5mm
AUX audio cable to connect the product to the car and switch the car's audio channel to
AUX mode. In this mode, the built-in microphone of OttoScreen will be used for
calls/voice assistants.
FM transmission sound
If the above two sound transmission methods are not available, you can choose to use
the FM transmission mode to transmit sound to audio system. Click Audio output in the
homepage of OttoScreen and choose FM icon.
Set a suitable FM transmission frequency (it is recommended not to set it close to or
identical to the FM frequency of local radio stations). Switch the audio channel to FM
mode and adjust it to successfully transmitted. In this mode, calls/voice assistants will
use the built-in microphone of OttoScreen.
Built-in Speaker Sound
Click Audio output in the homepage of OttoScreen and choose Speaker icon. If you
choose this mode, all sound is delivered through the built-in speakers in OttoScreen.
