Usage Features

Assembly: The manual provides detailed instructions for assembling the Fish Cat Pontoon Boat, starting with the frame, then the mesh cargo deck, seat, and finally the pontoons and oars.

  • Fish Cat Frame Assembly: Involves inserting side rails into the seat platform, securing them with springer clips, and attaching foot bars. The seat platform is designed to accommodate crossbars, and the adjustable foot bars are installed into the ends of the frame.
  • Fish Cat Mesh Cargo Deck Installation: The mesh cargo deck is secured over the rear of the frame, attaching to the anchor mount using adjustable buckles. The mesh deck should be placed on top of the rear section of the frame, under the anchor mount, with straps and buckles underneath the frame. The straps are draped over the frame bars and inserted into ladder lock buckles.
  • Seat Assembly: The seat back is attached to the seat bottom using hinge pins. The seat platform is then secured to the frame using winged seat bolts and washers. The seat can be adjusted forward or back depending on the user's weight and desired balance.
  • Cargo Pocket Installation: Pockets are secured to the frame next to the oar stands using the side release buckles.
  • Pontoon Inflation: Pontoons are inflated using a hand, foot, or electric pump. The Summit 2 Valve Adapter and Vinyl Tubing Adapter are used with the pump. Inflation involves removing the dust cap from the valve, pushing and turning the valve stem 1/4 turn to the left, inserting the adapter, inflating to 2.5 PSI, and then turning the valve stem 1/4 turn to the right to lock it. To deflate, the valve stem is turned 1/4 turn to the right (clockwise) to allow air to escape freely.
    • CAUTION: Changes in air temperature and elevation can cause the pontoons to expand, which could cause the pontoons to burst. Air should be released some air when these conditions occur. Never leave the boat sitting in direct sunlight when it is out of the water.
  • Securing the Frame: The frame is secured to the inflated pontoons using 8 - 30" Cam Straps. The straps are threaded through the D-rings on the side of the boat and around the front of the boat, then through the frame and back through the D-rings.
  • Streamer XL Oar Installation and Adjustment: The 6' 2-piece oars are assembled and installed into the oar stand. The oar grips are adjusted to the closest position, typically 3" to 4" between the oar grip and the clamp on the oarlock.
  • Apron Installation: The stripping apron is secured to the frame using frame loops. These loops are attached to the front frame, and the rear frame loops are located on the side rails close to the seat platform.

Anchor Installation: The anchor rope is threaded through pulleys 1 & 2, located underneath the motor mount, and then through pulley 3. The cargo deck and seat are removed for illustration purposes. Pulley 4 is used to secure the rope.

Maintenance Features

  • Repair Kit: The included repair kit provides materials and instructions for patching minor punctures in the pontoons. This includes PVC and vinyl material, adhesive patches, alcohol prep pads, and sandpaper.

The company reserves the right to determine whether to repair or replace any Outcast Sporting Gear product covered by this warranty.
