parts prior to assembly.
Note, The General Assembly
Manual illustrates a Door
Configuration in the front
center location. The Door can
also be positioned in the front
corners. To correctly configure
Door in front corners, follow
general assembly steps and
refer to Page 25 for required
changes.

s and Other Considerations
Our products are built for use based on
proper installation and normal residential
use, on level ground. Please follow the
instruction manual when building your
shed and retain the manual for future
maintenance purposes.
Some of the safety and usage measures you may wish to consider include:
-snow load ratings vary by geographical location. If heavy or wet snowfall occurs, it is advisable to sweep the
snow off the roof(s).
-if the product is elevated, any structural and building code requirements are solely the customer's
responsibility, and should be abided by.
-in high or gusty wind conditions it is advisable to keep the structure securely grounded.
-have a regular maintenance plan to ensure screws, doors, windows and parts are tight.
Customer agrees to hold Outdoor Living Today Partnership and any Authorized Dealers free
of any liability for improper installation, maintenance and repair.

Floor Section Assembly

Attach Interior Floor Joists to Frames

Connect interior floor joists to the floor joist frames using screws.

Attach Interior Joist to Outside Frames

Attach interior joists to the outside floor joist frames with screws.

Position and Attach Floor Joist Frames

Assemble completed floor joist frames together using screws.

Attach Floor Runners

Secure floor runners to the completed floor frame using screws.

Flip and Place Floor on Foundation

Carefully flip the assembled floor onto its foundation, ensuring it is level.

Position and Attach Plywood Floor

Place plywood floor pieces on joists and secure with screws.

Final Floor Level Check

Ensure the completed floor is level and make adjustments as needed.

Wall Section Assembly

Lay Out Wall Panels

Arrange wall panels to identify their correct positions before assembly.

Attach Wall Plates to Panels

Secure wall plates to the bottom of wall studs on each panel.

Position First Rear Wall Panel

Place the first solid wall panel at the rear corner of the floor.

Position Front and Rear Wall Panels

Align front and rear wall panels flush with the floor end, sandwiching side panels.

Position and Attach First Side Wall

Place and attach the first side wall panel to the floor and rear wall.

Attach Second Rear Wall Panel

Position and secure the second rear wall panel to the structure.

Attach Third Rear Wall Panel

Position and secure the third rear wall panel as per previous step.

Attach Remaining Side Walls

Complete the attachment of the remaining side walls following prior steps.

Install Window Inserts

Insert window panels into wall openings and secure them with screws.

Attach Window Walls

Position and attach the window wall panels to the structure.

Attach Vertical Door Jambs

Secure vertical door jambs to the door opening wall studs.

Attach Door Header

Fasten the door header to the vertical door jambs.

Fasten Walls to Floor

Check wall alignment and fasten bottom wall plates to the floor.

Attach Side Top Plates

Position and attach side top plates to the top of the wall framing.

Attach Front and Rear Top Plates

Secure front and rear top plates to the wall frame, fitting between side top plates.

Attach Side Gable Walls

Position and attach side gable walls to the top plate, ensuring proper alignment.

Attach Opposite Side Gable Wall

Align and attach the second side gable wall according to previous instructions.

Rafter and Roof Section Assembly

Assemble Ridge Boards

Connect ridge boards using connectors and screws to form two sets.

Prepare Rafter and Soffit Assembly

Lay out rafters and soffits, doubling up rafters as illustrated.

Attach Ridge Board to Rafters

Secure ridge boards to the ends of the outside and interior rafters.

Attach Soffits to Rafters

Attach soffit boards to the ends of the rafters, ensuring flush alignment.

Position Rafter Section on Gable

Flip the assembled rafter section and lift it onto the gable framing.

Align Rafter Section with Gable Notch

Slide the rafter section up until the ridge board fits into the gable notch.

Position Rafters and Soffits

Ensure rafters are evenly spaced and soffits sit flush against the walls.

Attach Second Rafter Section

Position and attach the second completed rafter section to the gable walls.

Secure Ridge Boards at Peak

Align and secure ridge boards at the peak, ensuring they are flush.

Secure Gable Framing

Attach gable framing to the outside rafters with screws for stability.

Position and Attach Roof Gussets

Place roof gussets on middle rafters and secure after aligning walls.

Attach Remaining Roof Gussets

Complete the attachment of the remaining roof gussets following the same procedure.

Attach Simpson Strong Ties

Secure Simpson Strong Ties to the top wall framing and underside of rafters.

Identify and Position Roof Panels

Identify outside and middle roof panels and place an outside panel on rafters.

Attach First Outside Roof Panel

Position and secure the first outside roof panel to the rafters.

Attach Middle Roof Panel

Place and secure the middle roof panel to the rafters.

Attach Second Outside Roof Panel

Position and attach the second outside roof panel to the rafters.

Attach Front Roof Panels

Position and secure the front roof panels following previous panel installation steps.

Secure Roof Panels Internally

Secure roof panels to rafters and battens from the inside using screws and ties.

Prepare Roof Filler Shingles

Prepare roof filler shingles for covering roof seams, starting at the bottom.

Attach First Roof Filler Shingle

Secure the first filler shingle to the rafters using screws.

Attach Subsequent Roof Filler Shingles

Slide and attach subsequent filler shingles, using pre-cut shingle for the last row.

Miscellaneous Section Assembly

Attach Bottom Skirting

Secure bottom skirting around the base of the shed to hide floor framing.

Attach Corner Filler Trims

Align and attach filler trims to each corner side wall, flush with bottom skirting.

Attach Corner Trims

Attach wide and narrow corner trims in each corner, aligning narrow trim behind wide trim.

Position and Attach Top Trims

Position trims flush with bottom skirting and soffit, then attach with finishing nails.

Attach Rear and Side Narrow Trims

Secure narrow trims to wall seams, flush with bottom skirting.

Attach Horizontal Gable Trim

Position and attach horizontal gable trim to both sides of the shed over seams.

Attach Side Facia

Secure side facia to roof panel battens, aligning flush with rafter ends.

Attach Front Facia

Fasten front facia to roof rafter ends, ensuring it overhangs the side facia.

Attach Roof Ridge Caps

Position and secure ridge caps on the roof peak, overlapping roofing felt at the center.

Attach Peak Facia Plates

Secure pentagon facia plates where side facia meet at the peak.

Attach Doorway Narrow Trims

Position and attach doorway narrow trims flush with the door jamb and bottom skirting.

Attach Door Hinges

Attach hinges to the top and bottom dutch door sections, allowing for swing direction choice.

Attach Bottom Dutch Door Panel

Position the bottom dutch door panel and attach it to the doorway seam trim with screws.

Attach Top Dutch Door Panel

Place the top dutch door panel, ensuring a 1/4" gap at top and bottom, and attach hinges.

Attach Horizontal Door Trim

Secure horizontal door trim to cover the header using finishing nails.

Attach Door Hardware

Install door handle, exterior barrel bolt, and interior barrel bolt on the door.

Attach Interior Door Stops

Secure interior door stops to the door framing (jambs and header).

Attach Window Boxes

Mount window boxes below the window trim, securing them from the inside.

Alternate Door Configuration

Position Door Jamb for Alternate Configuration

Locate and orient the door jamb on the side wall panel stud for the alternate configuration.

Attach Door Jamb in Alternate Configuration

Secure the door jamb to the wall stud with screws for the alternate door position.

Attach Door Stops for Alternate Configuration

Attach vertical and horizontal door stops for the alternate door configuration.
