° It is possible to mount towing homologated hooks. The maximum allowed speed, in this case, is
100km/h.
° Do not hook or unhook the trailers with inertia brake with engaged brakes.
° Towing hook with spherical neck: if the spherical neck is installed in the wrong way, there is unhooking
danger from the trailer. Verify the functioning instructions of the towing hook’s manufacturer.
°Check on the vehicle’s and on the towing hook’s documentation the values of the admitted back axial
weight and the load of the helm. Those values must no be exceeded.
Snow chains
The rules about the use of snow chains changes from country to country.
The snow chains must be mounted only on the driving wheels. Check and in case re-set the tension of
the chains after the rst march minutes.
°When you use snow chains the steering wheel, the tyres and the suspensions are subjected to strong
solicitations. Use the snow chains only on totally snowy roads and driving slowly to avoid damages
to the motorhome.
° Observe scrupulously the mounting instructions of the chains’ manufacturer.
ON TRIP
Driving the motorhome
It is responsibility of the driver
° that passengers stay sitting on the apposite seats with seatbelts.
° that the duty to fasten the seatbelts is respected.
° that doors and windows are closed while in march
°that all security measures of this manual are respected.
°Avoid the sudden braking. On uneven road drive slowly. Remember that the back jolt, noticeable
above all on the bigger models, can make the manoeuvre difcult with risk of getting the vehicle stuck.
Pay particular caution to the uphill attack and to the garage ramps, ferryboats, to the dips built to delay
the trafc etc, while crossing roughness of the ground and during reverse motion manoeuvres. It is
important to avoid damages to the under-chassis or to the parts mounted on the under-chassis.
°During the march the driver and the passengers must keep the seatbelts fastened.
°Remember that the chassis is that of a commercial vehicle. Adapt consequently the behaviour while
driving.
Revolving plates
Verify before departure the right state of the plate and above all that the plate is blocked against rotation.
Brakes
° Possible damages or anomalies in functioning must be immediately repaired by skilled staff.
° Before departure always check that:
- the brakes function
- the brakes react uniformly
- in case of braking the vehicle doesn’t skid
