Operating and maintenance manual – ENGLISH

220 V distribution panel
° Before handling, check that the 220V net plug is disconnected.
° To avoid damages to the device control that the connectors are correctly connected.
° To turn off supply to the whole system, placed the master switch on “0”(OFF).
° Connect and disconnect the 220V external net only with the master switch off.
° In case of automatic interruption of the switch, nd the fault before reactivating the current supply
of the system.
Battery charger
° Verify the correct charge through the control panel.
°The battery charger can remain permanent connected to the 220V net.
° Keep the space where the battery charger is located dry and aired.
° The battery charger doesn’t deliver tension and cannot work is it is not connected to the battery.
Tanks probes
° Do not leave water in the tanks for long periods, to avoid incrustations, in particular in the grey
waters’ tank.
Batteries
° Check periodically the level of the battery liquid.
° Tear out the negative pole of the battery when you forecast to not use the vehicle at least for 1 or 2
months.
° In case the service battery is taken away, isolate the positive pole to avoid short-circuits in the
occasion of a start up of the engine.
° Follow carefully the instructions of the operating and maintenance manual of the battery manufacturer.
° In case of a totally discharged battery, every 4 months it is convenient to charge it. A battery left
discharged for above 6 months is subjected to a gradual damage which is not possible to recover, with
following loss of capacity.
°If the room-temperature is high (> 30°C) the service battery discharges more quickly. At 20°C the
battery loses about the 2% charge in one month; at 40°C the percentage of self-discharge reaches the
15-20%.
° If the room- temperature is very low the service battery, like the engine battery, is subjected to a loss
of capacity and can require more frequent charges operations.
° It is advisable to start a trip only after having checked that the service battery is charged using the
“test” button of the LED Voltmeter located on the control panel. During the trip, however, exploit
every occasion to re-set the charge level of the service battery.
° Do not start the engine if the service battery is disconnected, to avoid short-circuits.
° You can correctly measure the charge level of the battery only 4 hours after having nished the re-
charge operations.
Fuses
° In case of replacement of broken fuses, respect the expected value of amperage.
° Replace the broken or burnt fuses only after having identied and removed the cause of the fault.
Service battery: maintenance and charge
An appropriate maintenance extends the battery life and ensures that it remains always I condition of
providing the necessary energy. P.L.A.S.p.A. doesn’t provide in equipment the service battery.
