Cost-optimized, high performance HD IPTV Set-Top Box
Pace’s IPH8000 HD IPTV client is a cost-optimized, high-
performance non-DVR set-top box which supports multiple wired
connectivity options including Ethernet and HomePNA over coax.
Using HomePNA to deliver IPTV over an existing in-home coax
network, operators can save significantly on installation costs.
The IPH8000 advanced system-on-a-chip design decodes a wide
variety of high definition video standards including MPEG-4. MPEG-4
video streams require significantly less bandwidth than MPEG-2 to
deliver quality video services, which helps operators support growing
consumer demand for high bandwidth HD programming over their
IPTV networks. The solution also employs multiple on-board video
accelerators. These ensure the best possible experience when
consumers engage with today’s IP-delivered features like cloud guides,
over-the-top (OTT) video, and applications.
The IPH8000 platform is optimized for use with Microsoft Mediaroom™
and is the highest performing Mediaroom-certified client available.
