Cost-optimized, high performance HD IPTV DVR
The Pace IPH8010 HD IPTV advanced set-top is a high-
performance, compact whole-home HD DVR solution which
supports multiple wired connectivity options including Ethernet
and HomePNA. Using HomePNA to deliver IPTV over an existing
in-home coax network, operators can save significantly on
installation costs.
DVR functions are supported utilizing a 1TB, 2.5” field-removable
hard drive. By allowing for quick technician removal of the hard
disk, operators can reduce service costs and simplify logistics when
servicing customer returns. In addition, the IPH8010 offers quiet
operation and a low-temperature, fanless design.
The IPH8010 advanced system-on-a-chip design decodes a wide
variety of high definition video standards including MPEG-4. MPEG-4
video streams require significantly less bandwidth than MPEG-2 to
deliver quality video services, which helps operators support growing
consumer demand for high bandwidth HD programming over their
IPTV networks. The solution also employs multiple on-board video
accelerators. These ensure the best possible experience when
consumers engage with today’s IP-delivered features like cloud guides,
over-the-top (OTT) video, and applications.
The IPH8010 platform is optimized for use with Ericsson Mediaroom™
and is the highest performing Mediaroom-certified DVR available.
