Overview

This document describes the Panasonic Air Conditioner, a heat pump system designed for both single and multi-split applications, offering a range of models for various indoor and outdoor unit configurations.

Function Description:

The Panasonic Air Conditioner provides cooling, heating, and dry modes to maintain comfortable indoor temperatures. It incorporates a built-in Network Adaptor, allowing remote control via a smartphone app (Panasonic Comfort Cloud). The system is designed for individual or simultaneous operation of indoor units, with priority given to the first unit turned on. It features a "nanoe X" function for air purification, moisturization, and deodorization, and a "Powerful" mode for rapid temperature adjustment. A "Mild Dry" mode is available in single-split systems to reduce air dryness during cooling. The unit also includes an "Inside Cleaning" function to enhance internal hygiene.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Refrigerant Type: R32 (mildly flammable). Special precautions are required for installation and servicing due to its flammability and higher working pressure compared to R22 models.
  • Operating Temperature Range:
    • COOL Mode:
      • Indoor: Max 32°C (89.6°F) DBT / 23°C (73.4°F) WBT; Min 16°C (60.8°F) DBT / 11°C (51.8°F) WBT.
      • Outdoor (Single Split): Max 43°C (109.4°F) DBT / 26°C (78.8°F) WBT; Min -10°C (14.0°F) DBT.
      • Outdoor (Multi Split *2): Max 46°C (114.8°F) DBT / 26°C (78.8°F) WBT; Min -10°C (14.0°F) DBT.
      • Outdoor (Multi Split *3): Max 46°C (114.8°F) DBT / 26°C (78.8°F) WBT; Min -10°C (14.0°F) DBT.
    • HEAT Mode:
      • Indoor: Max 30°C (86.0°F) DBT; Min 16°C (60.8°F) DBT.
      • Outdoor (Single Split): Max 24°C (75.2°F) DBT / 18°C (64.4°F) WBT; Min -20°C (-4.0°F) DBT / -21°C (-5.8°F) WBT.
      • Outdoor (Multi Split *2): Max 24°C (75.2°F) DBT / 18°C (64.4°F) WBT; Min -15°C (5.0°F) DBT / -16°C (3.2°F) WBT.
      • Outdoor (Multi Split *3): Max 24°C (75.2°F) DBT / 18°C (64.4°F) WBT; Min -25°C (-13.0°F) DBT.
  • Power Supply: Requires proper earthing and protection against electric shock (ELCB/RCD recommended).
  • Remote Control: Uses AAA or R03 batteries (x2).
  • Indoor Unit Models: CS-Z20ZKEW, CS-Z25ZKEW, CS-Z35ZKEW, CS-Z42ZKEW, CS-Z50ZKEW, CS-Z71ZKEW, CS-MZ16ZKE, CS-XZ20ZKEW, CS-XZ25ZKEW, CS-XZ35ZKEW, CS-XZ50ZKEW, CS-XZ20ZKEW-H, CS-XZ25ZKEW-H, CS-XZ35ZKEW-H, CS-XZ42ZKEW-H.

  • Biocidal Product: Incorporates a device generating free radicals to inhibit pollutants (bacteria, viruses, mould). Active substances are generated in situ from ambient air or water. Cross-flow fan coating treated with 2-octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (OIT), 3-iodo-2-propynylbutylcarbamate (IPBC), and Zinc pyrithione to inhibit mold and fungi.

Usage Features:

  • Basic Operation: Start/stop with OFF/ON button, select mode (AUTO, HEAT, DRY, COOL) with MODE button, adjust temperature with TEMP UP/DOWN buttons.
  • Clock Setting: Set time using CLOCK and SET buttons on the remote control.
