  • Motor Voltage: 1.2 V
  • Charging Time: Approximately 1 hour.
  • Operating Time (Full Charge): Approximately 50 minutes (based on dry use at 20 °C – 30 °C). Actual operating time may vary depending on frequency of use and operating method.
  • Recommended Charging Temperature: 0 °C – 35 °C.
  • Battery Type: Built-in Nickel-Metal Hydride battery.
  • Blade Life: Approximately 3 years when used for 5 minutes, 10 times a month. Replacement blades (WER9605) are available.

Usage Features

General Use

  • Power Switch: Turns the trimmer on and off.
  • Height Adjustment Dial: Used to set the desired trimming height when a comb attachment is in place.
  • Charge Status Lamp: Glows during charging and stops glowing when charging is complete.
  • AC Operation: The trimmer can be used while connected to the AC adaptor, even if the battery is low.
  • Safety Precautions: Users are warned against using the appliance with a damaged AC adaptor, wet hands, or in ways that exceed electrical ratings. It is not intended for use by children without supervision.

Trimming Features

  • Comb Attachments:
    • Beard Comb Attachment [A]: For trimming lengths from 1 mm to 10 mm.
    • Hair Comb Attachment [B]: For trimming lengths from 11 mm to 20 mm.
    • Body Hair Comb Attachment: Trims to approximately 1.5 mm; its trimming height cannot be adjusted.
  • Trimming without Comb Attachment: Allows trimming hair to lengths less than 0.5 mm, suitable for beard shaping, trimming downy hair, and precise lines.
  • Adjusting Trimming Height: The dial allows precise adjustment of the trimming height indication mark to the desired length.
  • Beard Trimming:
    • Attach the beard comb attachment and set the desired height.
    • Hold the trimmer with the power switch facing upward and move the blade against the flow of the beard.
    • For shaping, use the trimmer without attachments, holding it with the power switch at the bottom and cutting across a line with the blade at a 90° angle to the skin.
    • For sideburns, hold the trimmer with the power switch at the bottom and move it downward with the blade at a 90° angle.
    • For moustache ends, trim gradually from the ends with the power switch facing outward.
  • Hair Trimming:
    • Attach the hair comb attachment and set the desired height.
    • Hold the trimmer with the power switch upward and move it slowly against the flow of hair and toward the crown of the head.
    • Trim slowly and crisscross from various directions to ensure an even length and avoid missing spots.
    • For areas around the ears and neckline, lift the tip of the comb attachment slightly from the hairline while trimming.
    • For downy hair around the neckline, remove the comb attachment, hold the trimmer with the power switch at the bottom, and move it downward along the skin with the blade perpendicular to the area.
  • Body Hair Trimming:
    • Attach the body hair comb attachment.
    • Hold the trimmer with the power switch at the bottom and move it slowly in the direction illustrated, bringing the blade into contact with the skin.
    • For best results, trim long hair to about 10 mm before using the trimmer.
  • Important Notes for Trimming:
    • Do not use with shaving foam or on wet hair/beard, as this can make trimming difficult.
    • Ensure the trimmer is turned off before attaching/removing comb attachments.
    • Check blades for damage or deformation before use.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning

  • After Every Use: It is recommended to clean the trimmer after each use to maintain sharpness and hygiene.
  • Water Cleaning (Light Dirt):
    1. Remove the trimmer from the AC adaptor.
    2. Remove the comb attachment and turn the trimmer on.
    3. Run water down the water inlet at the front of the main body for approximately 20 seconds.
    4. Turn the trimmer off.
    5. Rinse with water and shake up and down several times to remove water.
  • Water Cleaning (Heavy Dirt):
    1. Remove the trimmer from the AC adaptor.
    2. Remove the comb attachment and blade.
    3. Clean the trimmer, blade, and comb attachments with running water.
    4. Rinse with water and shake up and down several times to remove water.
  • Drying: After water cleaning, wipe off excess water with a towel and let it air dry naturally. Drying is faster with the blade removed.
  • Brush Cleaning:
    1. Remove the trimmer from the AC adaptor and ensure it's off.
    2. Remove the comb attachment.
    3. Remove the blade by pushing it away from the main body with your thumb.
    4. Brush off hair trimmings from the main body and around the blade.
    5. Press down the cleaning lever to raise the moving blade and brush out hair trimmings from between the stationary and moving blades.
    6. Reattach the blade and comb attachment.
  • Housing Cleaning: Clean the housing with a soft cloth slightly dampened with tap water or soapy water. Do not use thinner, benzine, alcohol, or other chemicals.

Lubrication

  • Before and After Each Use: Apply oil to the blade.
  • Procedure:
    1. Remove the blade.
    2. Apply a drop of oil to each indicated point on the blade.
    3. Attach the blade to the main body, turn on the power, and let it run for approximately 5 seconds to distribute the oil.
  • Importance: Failure to apply oil can lead to blunt blades, shorter operating time, and louder sound.

Battery Maintenance

  • Charging: Fully charge the battery once every 6 months if not used for a long period to prevent weakening.
  • Battery Life: The battery's service life is approximately 3 years with monthly charging. If operating time significantly shortens, the battery has reached the end of its life.
  • Rejuvenation: If the trimmer stops functioning due to infrequent use, charge the battery continuously for approximately 8 hours to rejuvenate it.
  • Disposal: The built-in rechargeable battery must be removed and disposed of safely at an officially designated location. Do not disassemble the product for any purpose other than battery removal for disposal, as this will void its waterproof feature.

Troubleshooting

The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as:

  • Trimmer not charging (check plug, charge status lamp, temperature).
  • Trimmer can only be used for a short time (replace battery).
  • Trimmer not cleaning properly (remove blade, wash with water).
  • Loud sound (confirm blade is properly attached).
  • Trimmer has become blunt (clean, oil, or replace blade).
  • Trimmer stopped functioning (charge, use AC operation, rejuvenate battery, or replace battery if at end of life).

Replacement Parts

The replacement blade for the ER-GB62 is Model No. WER9605. Only use the dedicated blade to avoid performance defects.
