Thank you for choo sing a P anasonic shaver ES-LF51. With
our W E T/D R Y tech nology, you can enjoy using your
Panasonic shaver dry or in the sh ow er or bath for gentle
and easy sh aving. Please read all instructions before use.
Important
This shaver has a built-in rechargeable battery. Do not throw into
fire, a pply heat, or charge, use, or leave in a high tem perature
environm ent.
► Before use
This W ET /D R Y shaver can be used for w et shaving using
shaving lather or for dry shaving. You can use this w atertight
shaver in the show er and clean w ith water. The follow ing sym bol
m eans suitable for use in a bath or shower.

Treat yo urself to w e t lather shaves for at least three w eeks and
notice the difference. Your Panasonic W ET /D R Y shaver requires
a little tim e to get used to because yo ur skin and beard need
abo ut a m onth to adju st to any new shaving method.
► Using the shaver
Caution
The outer foil is very thin and can be dam aged if not used
correctly. C heck th at the foil is no t dam ag ed before using
the shaver. Do not use the shaver if the foil is dam aged as
you will cut y our skin.
■ Term inate the usage w hen there is an a bnorm ality or failure.
■ Do not share yo ur shaver with yo ur fam ily or other people.
Doing so m ay result in infection or inflam m ation.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or m ental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
► Charging the shaver
• Never use the AC adap tor in the bathroom or show er room.
• Do not use any pow er cord or AC adap tor other than the AC
adaptor (RE 7-59).
• Plug in the AC ada pto r into a household outlet w here there is
no moisture and handle it w ith dry hands.
• Hold the AC ada pto r w hen disconnectin g it from the household
outlet. If you tug on the pow er cord, you m ay dam age it.
• The supply cord ca nn ot be replaced. If the cord is dam aged,
the AC adaptor should be scrapped.
► C lean ing th e shaver
Warning
Disco nnect the pow er cord from the sh av er before
cleaning it in w ater to prevent electric shock.
• Keep both the inner blades inserted. If only one o f the inner
blades is inserted, the shaver m ay be dam aged.
• If you clean the shaver with water, do not use salt w ater o r hot
water. Do not soak the shaver in w ater for a long period of time.
• Clean the housing only w ith a so ft cloth sligh tly dam pened
with tap w ater or soapy tap water. Do not use thinner, benzine,
alcoho l o r other chem icals.
► Storing the shaver
• Store the shaver in a place w ith low hum idity after use.
• Do not store the shaver w here it will be exposed to direct
sunlight or o ther heat sources.
• D isconnect the pow er cord w hen storing the shaver.
• Do not bend the power cord or wrap it around the shaver.
• Keep the oil away from children.
