To improve recording indoors or outdoors in * Connect the Palmcorder to a power source.
dim lighting conditions. * Set the POWER switch to CAMERA.
Set the LIGHT switch to AUTO.
The built-in light automatically turns on and
off depending on lighting conditions.
Or set the LIGHT switch to ON/OFF to
turn the light on and off manually.

turned on.
Caution:
This light becomes hot during operation.
Make sure nothing covers the Light during
operation.
Replacing the Bulb Before you begin...
r NOM c. * Set the POWER switch to OFF.

1 Turn screw counterclockwise and
remove.
2 (& Slide the Built-in Light unit to the
right to unlock ® and remove it.
J Turn the Bulb Housing counterclock-
ssp wise 1/4 of a turn and pull free from
i the Built-in Light unit.
Built-in Light Unit Bulb Housing
+ ES Avsing a clean cloth or tissue, replace
the buib.
5o Replace the Bulb Housing by
turning it clockwise. (8) Next, insert the
Built-in Light unit and slide it to the left
to lock it in place. © Finally, replace
the screw.
D AN G ER . Note:
R * Using the light reduces battery operating time.
When replacing the bulb, use only lamp bulbs | . if using the Built-in Light in a hot environment
(PART NO. VLLW0007) supplied by for an extended period of time, be sure to

Use a cloth or tissue when handling the bulb
as finger oils will decrease the bulb life.
To, prevent possible burn hazard, disconnect
the Built-in Light and allow the lamp to cool
before replacing.
* Using the Built-in Light when the Palmcorder is
powered by a car battery may shorten bulb life.
* Be sure LIGHT switch is set to OFF when not
in use or before placing Palmcorder into an
optional carrying case.
