This
makes it
possible
to record
yourself
while viewing
the
picture on
the
LCD
Monitor
or
to
show the
persons
in
front
of
the
Movie
Camera
the
picture
being
recorded.
1 Open
the LCD
Monitor and
turn
it so
that it faces
forward
(lens side).
Opening the
LCD Monitor
automatically turns
off
the
Finder.
However,
when you turn the
LCD
Monitor
forward, the picture
also
appears in the
Finder.
This lets you
aim the
Movie
Camera and
view
the
picture in the
Finder, while
the
persons in front
of
the
Movie Camera
can
check the
picture
on the LCD
Monitor
during
recording.
Mirror
Mode
When recording
yourself with
the
LCD Monitor
facing
forward,
the picture as
it
is
being
recorded
might look
unusual
to you.
If you
prefer
seeing
yourself on
the LCD
Monitor the
way you
see
yourself
in a
mirror, select
the
Mirror
Mode:
Selecting
[OTHERS] on the
Menu and
then
setting
[SELF-REC] to
[MIRROR]
reverses
the
picture on
the
LCD
Monitor and
shows
it as a
mirror-image.

However,
even
if you
have selected
the Mirror
Mode,
the
picture is
recorded
in the
normal way.
In the
Mirror Mode,
only the
following
indications are
displayed.

When the
General
Warning/Alarm
Indication
[
I
]
appears,
turn the
LCD
Monitor
backward so
that you
can
confirm
the actual
Warning/Alarm
Indication.
