Brightness
(AE Lock)
The AE Lock Function
lets
you
record
a subject with the
same
brightness
even when
the
lighting
conditions
change
greatly.
For
example, when
you
record
a person
who
moves from
a bright
to
a
dark place, or
vice
versa,
this
function
prevents
the
person's face from
becoming
brighter
or
darker.

Push the
[WAT]
Zoom Lever
toward
[T]
to zoom in on the
subject.

Set the
Mode Selector
Switch
to [AE
LOCK].
The [AE LOCK] Indication
appears.
The
brightness
of the picture
is now
locked
to
the
value
it
had
at the moment
of setting the
switch
to
[AE LOCK],
Cancelling the AE
Lock Function
Set the
Mode
Selector
Switch
to [AUTO] or
[MANUAL].
Locking
the
Brightness at a
Desired
Level
After
Step 1 above,
set the Mode
Selector Switch
to
[MANUAL]
to
adjust the
brightness
manually
