Listening to tapes
Type of tape which can be played on this unit:
Normal position/TYPE I
Metal position/TYPE IV
This unit will not be able to do full justice to characteristics of high-
position tapes and metal position tapes even if they are played back.
El Set SELECTOR to TAPE/Gi.
Press B/2 STOP/EJECT, and insert the tape to be
played.
3 Press > PLAY to start play.
To stop play:
Press B/& STOP/EJECT.
To stop play temporarily:
Press II PAUSE.
To resume play:
Press i} PAUSE again.
To fast-forward or rewind the tape EY
Press << REW/REV or >> FF/CUE in the stop mode.

To search a particular spot on a tape EY
Press << REW/REV or ®® FF/CUE during playback.
Tape play is resumed when the button is released.
