Function Description
The Panasonic Middle Static Pressure Duct (Type F3) is a commercial air conditioner indoor unit designed to provide comfortable room conditions. It incorporates a biocidal product that generates ionized air to deactivate bacteria and viruses, inhibit mold growth on surfaces, and reduce odors. The unit is designed for either horizontal installation in the ceiling with rear side air intake or vertical installation.
The mini VRF (Type LZ2) outdoor unit works in conjunction with the indoor unit as part of a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system. It uses R32 refrigerant, which is a flammable refrigerant.

Usage Features
- nanoe™ X Function: The indoor unit features nanoe™ X technology, which generates negative ions to provide healthier air by deactivating bacteria and viruses, inhibiting mold growth, and reducing odors. This function operates automatically upon purchase but can be turned off via the remote controller.
- Remote Control Options: The system supports various remote controllers:
- Wireless Remote Controller (Model No. CZ-RWS3, CZ-RWRC3)
- Timer Remote Controller (Model No. CZ-RTC4)
- High-spec Wired Remote Controller (Model No. CZ-RTC5B)
- Wired Remote Controller (Model No. CZ-RTC6 series)
- Automatic Operation Resumption: In case of a power failure, the unit will automatically resume operation with the settings prior to the power failure once power is restored.
- Defrosting Operation: During heating, the unit may initiate a defrosting operation to melt frost on the outdoor unit. The indoor unit fan may stop or run at a very slow speed during this process, and "STANDBY" will be displayed. Heating operation resumes once the indoor heat exchanger warms up.
- "DRY" Operation: In dry mode, once the room temperature reaches the set level, the outdoor unit cycles on and off automatically. The fan speed is set to "breeze" (light wind) when the room temperature is close to the set level.
- Energy Saving Tips:
- Avoid blocking air intake and outlet.
- Use sunshades, blinds, or curtains during cooling to prevent direct sunlight.
- Keep windows, doors, and other openings closed to prevent conditioned air from escaping.
- Regularly clean the air filter.
Maintenance Features
- Air Filter Maintenance: The air filter should be kept clean. Users are advised to consult their dealer or service center for cleaning.
- Outdoor Unit Coil Cleaning: The internal coil and other components of the outdoor unit must be cleaned periodically by a dealer or service center.
- Safety Precautions for Maintenance:
- Always turn off the air conditioner and disconnect power before cleaning to prevent electric shock or injury from rotating fan parts.
- Do not pour water on the indoor unit to avoid damaging internal components and electric shock.
- Avoid using solvents or harsh chemicals, or very hot water on plastic parts, to prevent deformation or discoloration.
- Exercise caution when cleaning metal edges and fins, as they can be sharp.
- Use a firm stool or ladder for cleaning indoor units installed in high locations.
- Refrigerant Leak Sensors (R32 specific): The indoor unit is equipped with R32 refrigerant leak sensors.
- If leakage is detected, a P08 alarm and inspection mark will appear on the remote controller, and the indoor unit fan will run continuously to prevent refrigerant stagnation. In this event, do not turn off the ELCB, ventilate the room, and contact the service dealer immediately.
- Alarms J03 or J05 indicate issues with the R32 refrigerant leak sensors. Contact the service dealer.
- Alarms J04 or J06 indicate the end of life for the R32 refrigerant leak sensors, requiring replacement by a service dealer. Continuous use of deteriorated sensors may prevent proper leak detection.
- Troubleshooting Guide: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting section to help identify and resolve common issues such as noise, odors, water leaks, fan operation anomalies, and error codes. It advises contacting a dealer for issues like dirty internal units, refrigerant leaks, or sensor replacement.
