Setting the record timer
Make sure that you have completed "Setting the time" on page 24.
Use this timer to record radio programs when you are out. The
system will record the program you set at the time you set.
The following example in the figure shows how to set the record
timer for; recording preset channel no. 1 from 18:00 to 18:30.
n Switch on the power.
H Press CLOCK/TIMER three times to show “©
REC” on the display, and then press SET within
3 seconds.
ft\ (“ON” time setting)
© Press TUNING (v or a) to show the time to
start recording.
(D Press SET.
FI (“OFF” time setting)
© Press TUNING (v or a) to show the time to
finish recording.
© Press SET.
H © Press TUNING (v or a ) to select the desired
preset channel.
The display will change as follows.

© Press SET.
The display will show ON time, OFF time, the broadcast
station you select alternately, and then resumes the previous
display.
Q Prepare for recording.
1. Insert a tape into deck 2.
2. Select the Dolby NR mode.
3. Select the reverse mode.
4. Select the tape travel direction.
Q Press POWER to switch the power to standby
mode.
Please confirm "© REC".
The tuner recording will start 30 seconds before the setting time.
The sound will be automatically muted during timer recording.
To cancel the tinier:
Press © REC so that "© REC" goes out.
The record timer function will be canceled, but the setting stays in the
memory.
To confirm the record timer:
You can operate this even if the system is in the standby mode
Press CLOCK/TIMER to show "® REC".
The display will show ON time, OFF time, the broadcast station you
select alternately.
To change the record timer setting:
Follow the procedure from the first step.
