Using the timer at the same time setting continuously:
You can operate this even if the system is in the standby mode.
The record timer setting will stay in the memory.
1. Press © REC to show "® REC".
2. Press POWER to switch the power to standby mode.
To enjoy the desired source after the timer setting is
completed:
1. Start playing the desired source.
When listening to a cassette tape, use the deck 1.
Even if you change the music source, the timer recording will start
with the preset condition.
2. Press POWER to standby mode after enjoying the play.
•If the power is on, the timer will not function.
•This system retains the ON/OFF time settings until you make a
new setting. If you make a new ON time setting, you must make a
new OFF time setting.
•You cannot make the ON time and OFF time the same setting.
•The record timer will function every day until you cancel the record
timer mode. When the display shows "® REC", the record timer
will be activated.
•Be careful when changing tapes if the record timer is ON, so as not
to record over favorite parts. Be sure to use only blank tapes or ones
you don't mind erasing.
The system will go into power standby mode at the set time (max.
2 hours, half hour intervals), so you can go to sleep listening to music.
The following example in the figure shows how to set the system to
standby mode after 30 minutes.
While enjoying the desired source:
Press SLEEP.
"SLEEP" lights up.
Each time you press the button, the display will change as follows:
SLEEP 30-*SLEEP 60-»SLEEP 90

SLEEP OFF <-SLEEP 120
To cancel the sleep timer:
Press SLEEP to select "SLEEP OFF".
"SLEEP' goes out.
To confirm the remaining of the sleep timer:
(While sleep timer is functioning:)
Press SLEEP.
The remaining time will be displayed for 5 seconds.
Do not press SLEEP before the remaining time goes out. Doing so will
cancel what time is left.
To change the timer setting while sleep timer is func¬
tioning:
1. Press SLEEP.
The remaining time will be displayed for 5 seconds.
2. Press SLEEP again to select the desired SLEEP timer.
