Sicherheitshinweise • Safety instrucons
Proper use:
Use awnings for their dened purpose only,
as sun protecon.
Awnings cannot be used in all weathers
and therefore must be retracted in wind or
storms as well as rain or snow.
If the awning is ed with an automac
controller (e.g. wind and sun monitor), this
must be switched o during winter or when
there is a risk of frost (risk of icing up). If the
awning is exposed to rain, it must be set to a
minimum lt of 15°.
Any changes to the system design or equip-
ment conguraon require wrien consent
from the manufacturer.
Addional loads on the awning from aa-
ched objects or cable tensioning can cause
the awning to be damaged or crash and are
thus prohibited.
All consoles that have been delivered must
be used and also must be ed using all of
their xing points.
Instrucons to the er and user:
All work (ng, maintenance) on the sys-
tem must be carried out by qualied, trained
personnel or persons with proven techni-
cal skills that are required in the respecve
country (place of installaon).
The user must be handed all operang ins-
trucons as well as ng and seng inst-
rucons of the motor, switch and controller
manufacturers and instructed in the use of
these components.
The user must be given comprehensive infor-
maon on the safety and user informaon of
the awning. Failure to comply and incorrect
use can lead to damage to the awning and
accidents.
Once the ng company has obtained
knowledge of the locaon and ed the
awning, they explain to the user if the wind
resistance class stated by the manufacturer
has been achieved for the ed awning.
If this is not the case, the ng company
must document the actual wind resistance
class.
The user or er is responsible for the pro-
per funconing of wind monitoring systems
and the ongoing tesng of their funcons.
There is an increased risk of injury in
case of improper use!
This product may be used by children over
eight years of age as well as persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capa-
bilies or lack of experience and knowledge
if they are given supervision or instrucon
concerning the safe use of the product and
understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning work and user maintenance must
not be carried out by unsupervised children.
Instruct all persons in the safe use of the
awning and operang components.
Watch the moving awning and keep persons
at a distance unl it has stopped moving.
Stop children from playing with the awning,
xed controls or the remote control.
Keep the hand transmier in a safe place so
that unintenonal operaon, e.g. by playing
children, is ruled out.
Take extra care with movable and open /
extended systems as components may fall
down if aachments (e.g. springs, brackets,
consoles, etc.) give way or break.
Perform all maintenance and cleaning work
on the awning when disconnected from the
mains.
The awning must be ed and maintained in
a locaon with sucient natural or arcial
light.
Informaon for the ng and com-
missioning of electrically operated
awnings.
