Sicherheitshinweise • Safety instrucons
It is recommended to use torque wrenches
and screwdrivers.
Use electric screwdrivers with a slow speed.
Threads may get jammed if driven in at
too fast a speed, parcularly stainless steel
screws and threads that are driven into alu-
minium.
Ensure that all screws are ghtened evenly.
Uneven ghtening can result in tension in
the aluminium and cast components as well
in the brickwork and therefore lead to failure
of the aachments.
Perform the ng work in accordance with
the applicable occupaonal health and safe-
ty guidelines and standards.
Safety ropes and/or safety belts xed
to the arculated brackets may only be
removed aer tesng the aachment
of all components.
Check all equipment (scaolding, ladders,
tools, etc.) and safety equipment (belts, ro-
pes, etc.) for da,age prior to use.
Always use suitable protecve equipment
(gloves, safety boots, goggles, hearing pro-
tecon, etc.).
If several persons work on the system, their
acvies must be coordinated.
The working area beneath the awning must
be blocked o and protected to ensure that
persons cannot walk beneath the suspended
load without any protecon.
The ng and service personnel must be
instructed in accordance with all safety regu-
laons.
Prior to ng, check that all movable com-
ponents are seated securely in their bearings
and brackets (supporng tube, fabric roller,
joints, brackets) and ensure that the arcula-
ted brackets cannot move uncontrolledly.
The arculated brackets are under great
spring tension!
Climbing aids:
Do not lean climbing aids against, or x them
to, the awning. They must stand rmly and
provide sucient support. Only use climbing
aids with sucient load-bearing capacity.
Fall protecon:
There is a risk of falling when working at gre-
at height. Use suitable fall protecon.
Crushing and shearing zones:
Crushing and shearing zones are located
between the front prole and cassee and/
or covers and in the area around the arcu-
lated brackets as well as proles that meet.
Clothing and/or body parts may be caught
by the system and pulled in!
Uncontrolled operaon:
There is a risk of crushing and falling when
working on the awning!
When working on an electrically operated
system, disconnect the power supply (e.g.
circuit breaker / fuse OFF) and ensure that it
cannot be accidentally switched on again or
manually operated.
The crank of manually operated systems
must be removed and stored securely.
If awnings are operated by several users, an
overriding, switched interlock must be ed
that makes it impossible to retract and ex-
tend the awning.
Automacally retracng and exten-
ding systems may cause injury.
Ensure that automacally controlled systems
are secured accordingly and that warning
devices are installed, if applicable (warning
lights, acousc signals, warning signs).
