Reading of the assembly and operang instrucons:
The assembly and operang instrucons must be read and observed
before assembly. Failure to observe the informaon releases the ma-
nufacturer from any liability. All the provided mounng brackets must
be used and xed with all the xing points.
Intended use:
Awnings can be used exclusively for the purpose dened in the ope-
rang instrucons. Any alteraon, such as modicaons or addions,
which are not intended by the manufacturer, can be made exclusively
with the wrien permission of the manufacturer.
Addional loading of the awning by means of hanging objects or
anchoring wires may damage the awning or make it fall down and it is
therefore not allowed.
Operang instrucons:
An awning is a sun protecon, no all-weather protecon. It must be
retracted in case of wind or storm, as well as of snow. Should the
awning be equipped with an automac control (e.g. wind and sun
sensor), this must be turned o over the winter (danger of icing).
Should the awning be exposed to rain, it must be adjusted with a
minimum inclinaon of 15°.
Transport:
The package of the awning must be protected from humidity. A soa-
ked package may loosen and lead to accidents. The awning must be
transported on the correct side to the installaon locaon, so that it
does not have to be turned under ght space condions. Should the
awning have to be hoisted with the help of ropes, it must be removed
from the package and ed with ropes so that it cannot slip and that it
can be hoisted steadily in horizontal posion. The same applies to the
disassembly of the awning.
Uncontrolled operaon:
When working in the area of awning the automac control must be
turned o. There is danger of crushing and falling. Furthermore, it
must be ensured that the system cannot be accidentally manually
operated. Hereto the power supply must be interrupted, e.g. the
circuit breaker must be o. In the same way in case of manual ope-
raon the control crank must be hanged and kept safe. Should the
awning be run by more users, a priority switching locking device must
be installed (controlled power interrupon from the outside), which
makes impossible every opening and retracng of the awning.
Electrical work:
The electrical xed installaon must take place according to the
legal and local regulaons and must be carried out by an authorised
electrician. Please follow the enclosed installaon instrucons of the
electrical appliance.
Test run:
When opening the awning the rst me nobody must be under the
area of the awning. The fasteners and the mounng brackets must be
visually checked aer running the awning the rst me.
Crushing und shearing zones:
There are crushing and shearing zones between the front prole and
the cassee and coverings and in the zone of the arculated arms
as well as between the facing proles. Clothes and parts of the body
may be caught and dragged by the system!
Climbing aids:
Climbing aids cannot lean against the awning or be xed to it. They
must have a solid stand and provide sucient support. Use exclusi-
vely climbing aids which have an adequately high supporng capacity.
Fall protecon equipment:
When working at great heights there is danger of falling. Adequate fall
protecon equipment must be used.
Aenon:
Delivery without xing material. The xing material must be de-
termined by the assembler according to the pre-exisng mounng
surface. In case of usage of xing material oponally ordered with the
awning, we assume no liability for a proper and professional instal-
laon. Only the assembler shall be liable for ensuring that the xing
material is suitable for the masonry and that the montage is professi-
onally and adequately performed. The assembly instrucons of the
manufacturer of the wall plugs must be absolutely observed!
The arculated arms are under high spring tension!
HIGH RISK OF INJURY BY MEANS OF THE COMPO-
NENTS OF THE AWNING UNDER TENSION!
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:
Fixing screws and plugs must be determined according to the moun-
ng surface. Please follow the indicaons of this xing material. The
wall and ceiling brackets must be rmly fastened to the mounng
surface. In case of a mounng surface which is not pressure-resistant,
possibly use base plates of aluminium.
For dierent surfaces please nd aached the wall plug extracon
forces depending on the width and opening of the awning. In case
that the extracon forces are higher than the maximum permissible
force of the xing material, more suitable xing material must be
used and / or the number of anchors per arm must be heightened
(e.g. by mounng a larger plate) and /or the permissible wind pressu-
re must be limited, by means of ensuring that the wind class achieved
by means of the montage of the awning is under the wind class
veried by the manufacturer.
Extracon forces of the wall plugs:
In the following chart, you can nd the extracon forces of wall plugs
expressed in Newton (N) per xing screw. The values refer to the
assembly on non-cracked concrete (C20/25)
