  If the weight display on your Parata Systems Scales does not light, here are some possible causes and solutions: * The scale might not be switched on. Press the On/Off key. * The connection to the power adapter might be interrupted. Reconnect the power adapter to the scale. * The power supply might have failed due to an interruption in the current. Restore current to or plug in the power adapter. * The power adapter might be defective. Contact Parata Systems Customer Care.

  If the results of weighing are clearly incorrect on your Parata Systems Scales, consider these potential causes and solutions: * The scale might not be correctly tared. Place the pan, scoop, vial, or compounding plate on the scale, then press the Tare key. * The scale might not be correctly leveled. Ensure that both leveling feet are touching the surface. * Perform the procedure in “Leveling” on page 1-8. * The calibration might no longer be correct. Perform one of the procedures in “Calibration” on page 1-8. * Strong temperature variations might be present at the scale location. Control the temperature at the scale location. * Consider relocating the scale.

  If the display on your Parata Systems Scales flashes continuously during calibration, it could be due to: * A draft that is too strong at the scale location. Place the compounding plate on top of the draft shield while calibrating to minimize the effects of the draft. * An unstable scale location. Interrupt the calibration using the On/Off button and then relocate the scale. * The use of an imprecise calibration weight (only applies to external calibration). Use the correct calibration weight.
