This document describes the Paris Rhône Baby Monitor, models PE-BBM002, PE-BBM003, PE-BBM002-MON, and PE-BBM002-CAM. It is a baby monitoring system designed to provide real-time audio and video surveillance of a baby, offering various features for parental peace of mind.
Function Description
The Paris Rhône Baby Monitor allows parents to monitor their baby remotely through a dedicated monitor unit and/or a smartphone application (CloudEdge APP). It provides live video viewing, two-way audio communication, and various alert functions. The system can detect motion, noise, and crying, notifying parents of their baby's status. It also includes features for taking photos and recording videos, playing music to soothe the baby, and monitoring the room's temperature and humidity. The camera can be installed on a flat surface or mounted to a wall using the included bracket.

Usage Features
Baby Monitor Unit
The monitor unit features a screen with several buttons for navigation and control:
- Zoom Button: To zoom in/out and scroll the screen.
- Menu Button: To access the menu page.
- Up/Down/Left/Right Buttons: For selecting options, tilting the camera, or panning the camera.
- OK Button: To confirm selections.
- Talk Button: To enable two-way communication.
- Back Button: To return to the previous page or stop music playback from the homepage.
- Power ON/OFF Button: To turn the monitor on/off.
- Antenna: Adjustable for better signal reception.
- SD Card Slot: For local video storage (supports up to 256GB).
- Monitor Holder: To stand the monitor steadily.
- Speaker: For audio output.
- Reset Button: To reset the monitor using a pin.
- Type-C Port: For charging the monitor.
Camera Unit
The camera unit includes:
- Status Light: Indicates the camera's working status (e.g., red for fast blinking during reset, solid blue after successful connection).
- Camera Lens: For video capture.
- Microphone: To capture sound.
- Speaker: For audio output (e.g., two-way talk, music playback).
- Reset Button: To reset the camera using a pin.
- Type-C Port: For power.
- SD Card Slot: For local video storage (supports up to 256GB).
- Wall Mounting Threaded Holes: For wall installation.
Key Features and Settings
- Live Video Viewing: Real-time monitoring, resolution adjustment, image capture, video recording, and 2-way talking via the monitor or CloudEdge APP.
- Infrared Night Vision: Automatic switching to black & white night vision mode in low light conditions, with a range of up to 10 meters.
- Motion Detection: Detects movement changes in the camera's view and sends notifications to the APP. Sensitivity can be adjusted (Low, High).
- Noise Detection: Detects noise around the baby and triggers an alarm. Sensitivity can be adjusted.
- Cry Detection: Detects baby's crying and triggers an alarm. Sensitivity can be adjusted.
- Feeding Reminder: Set up to 10 daily feeding times with alarms on the monitor.
- Temperature and Humidity Detection: Real-time monitoring of the baby's room. Alarms can be set for out-of-range temperatures (36-72°C) and humidity (40-70% RH).
- Photo & Video Recording: Capture photos and record videos of the baby. View recorded media on the monitor.
- Music Playback: Play soothing music for the baby. Select different music, change cycle mode, and adjust volume.
- Camera Rotation: Adjust the monitoring angle horizontally and vertically using the monitor's direction buttons.
- Camera Selection: If multiple cameras are added, switch between them or view them in full-screen mode.
- Brightness Adjustment: Adjust the monitor screen brightness.
- Time Setting: Set date, time, and time display mode.
- Language Setting: Select preferred language for the monitor interface.
- Sleep Mode: Increase standby time by setting sleep mode (1, 5, 10, 30, 60 minutes, or off).
- Status Indicator ON/OFF: Turn the camera's status light on or off to avoid disturbing the baby.
- SD Card Management: View total and remaining capacity, and format the SD card.
- Firmware Upgrade: Update camera firmware via the APP when an upgrade alarm appears or manually check for updates.
- Low Battery Alarm: Notifies when the monitor battery is low.
- Wi-Fi Network Channel Control: Turn on/off the Wi-Fi channel to prevent unauthorized live viewing via the APP.
- Visited Records: View a log of all APP visits to the camera.
APP Connection
- Ensure a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network is available.
- Download the "CloudEdge" APP from App Store or Google Play.
- Register or log in to the APP.
- Reset the camera using a pin until the status light blinks red rapidly (connect within 2 minutes).
- Follow in-app instructions to add the monitor and scan the QR code with the camera.
- Note: If using the monitor, audio/video will temporarily disconnect during APP setup and resume after successful network configuration (max 2 minutes).
Pairing Camera & Monitor
- Power on both camera and monitor. They should connect automatically.
- If pairing fails:
- Press Menu on the monitor, select "Camera".
- Select Camera 1 or Camera 2.
- Long press the camera pairing button until a prompt tone is heard.
- Press OK on the monitor to start pairing.
- Repeat for additional cameras.
- To unbind:
- Press Menu on the monitor, select "Camera".
- Select Camera 1 or Camera 2.
- Long press OK to release the binding.
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning: Clean the camera with a dry cloth only.
- Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings on the camera or monitor.
- Cord Safety: Keep cords out of reach of children (more than 3ft / 0.9m away) to prevent strangulation.
- Placement: Never place the camera or cord in or near the crib/playpen. Never mount the camera directly above the crib/playpen.
- Power: Only use provided AC adapters. Unplug the device when unused for long periods.
- Environment: Do not use near water (bathtubs, sinks, laundry machines, wet basements). Do not install near heat sources (radiators, heat registers, stoves).
- Interference: If experiencing interference, reorient/relocate the receiving antenna, increase separation between equipment and receiver, connect equipment to a different circuit, or consult a radio/TV technician.
- Reception Check: Regularly check reception. Test the camera before use and after changing its location.
- Indoor Use: For indoor use only.
- Microphone Feedback: Keep monitor and camera at least 1.5m / 4.9ft apart to avoid feedback.
- SD Card Formatting: (Optional) Format the SD card as needed, ensuring important data is backed up.
