If absolutely necessary, special products may be
used to remove marine growth from the hull, but
these products should not be discharged into the
water. Do not use wire brushes or scouring pads
on the hull of your boat as these will scratch the
surface.
• An-fouling paint
Proper an-fouling paint systems are a necessity to
protect your boat from hull blisters and osmosis.
Contact your dealer for further informaon.
• Saltwater corrosion
If you use your boat in saltwater, you should rinse
it with freshwater as oen as possible to avoid
corrosion.
• Steering
To ensure proper and safe operaon of the steering
system, the steering arm should be greased at least
twice a year, before and aer winter storage.
• Cushions
The cushions in your boat are made from high-
quality materials and designed to withstand spills
and lesser quanes of water and sea spray. You
should clean your cushions regularly with a sponge
and soapy water. NEVER use strong, synthec
detergents, soluons or chemical cleaning agents.
You can also purchase special products for cleaning
upholstery.
You must also remember to maintain the zip and
other ngs on the cushions. Grease these once a
year with silicon or Vaseline to avoid rusng.
Take care when removing the cushions - do not pull
the actual cushion, only the snap fastener.
When the boat is not in use, store your cushions in
one of the compartments on the boat, or in a dry
place
• Stainless steel fittings
Stainless steel can also suer from wear and tear.
Use a mild detergent and water to keep it clean.
Never use abrasive cloths or brushes as these will
scratch the surface. Use a polish to remove rust
spots as soon as they appear, and wax regularly to
prevent corrosion.
• Plexiglas windscreens
Again, use only mild detergents and warm water and
a so cloth to clean, as plexiglas scratches easily.
Materials and components
Your boat has been designed and manufactured,
tested and cered according to strict regulaons
and safety standards. We strongly advise against any
installaon by the owner of addional materials or
components as these may aect the safe operaon
of your boat, and its warranty coverage.
Should you require any addional equipment,
contact your dealer who is qualied to make such
modicaons.
Winter storage
Refer to your engine manual for advice on winter
storage of your engine. Your baery should be
removed, charged and stored in a dry place. Make
sure your boat is completely dry and remove all
water from pipes and other components to prevent
freeze damage.
Your boat dealer may provide a professional winter
storage service.
Painting
We recommend regular applicaon of an-fouling
paint to prevent marine growth. Consult your boat
dealer on which boom paint to use, depending on
where you plan to use your boat.
Paints are both toxic and ammable. Make sure
the area where you are painng your boat is well
venlated and that you use the proper safety
equipment - gloves, glasses, mask etc.)
