Safety guidelines for battery chargers
■ This appliance may be used by
children aged 8 years and above
and by persons with limited physi-
cal, sensory or mental capabili-
ties or lack of experience and
knowledge, provided that they
are under supervision or have
been told how to use the appli-
ance safely and are aware of
the potential risks. Do not allow
children to use the appliance as
a toy. Cleaning and user mainte-
nance tasks may not be carried
out by children unless they are
supervised.
The charger is suitable for
indoor use only.
■ If the connecting cord needs to
be replaced, this must be carried
out by the manufacturer or an
authorised representative in order
to avoid safety hazards.
Before use
Charging the device
NOTE
► The appliance is supplied partially charged.
Charge the appliance before first use.
This ensures optimum performance of the
appliance. You can charge the appliance at
any time without shortening its service life.
Interruption of the charging process will not
damage the appliance.
Start charging:
♦ Connect the charger
to a 100–240 V ∼
50/60 Hz power source.
The operating LED
lights up green.
♦ Insert the appliance handle with the charging
contacts
into the charger .
The red control LED indicates that the
charging process has started.
The battery is fully charged when the control LED
changes from red to green.
Stop charging:
♦ Remove the appliance from the charger
.
♦ Disconnect the charger
from the mains
power supply.
