INSTALLATION LOCATIONS
PassTime recommends installing the device
as high in the dash as possible to ensure
the best antenna performance and avoid
potential tampering.
When mounting the device, the LED’s must
be facing up and the device should not be
obstructed by metal above.
• Above or behind instrument cluster
• Above any accessible air vents
• Above or behind the radio

Attention: To prevent potential damage to vehicle and
Elite wiring, it is strongly recommended to add an inline 3A
fuse (glass type or plastic type) to both the Battery and
Ignition leads. This is a safety precaution to protect the
length wire between the connection point and Elite device
in the case of a nicked or pinched wire contacting metal.
The fuse should be placed as close to the connection point
as possible.
INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS
Attention: It is always best to attach the
ground wire to a metal chassis hardpoint
rather than a wire perceived to be ground.
Wires can often test and appear as a “ground”
but can then be energized at a later time.
Warning! It is extremely important that the butt connectors
on the unused wires be left attached to prevent accidental
contact to ground with exposed wire tips.
