  If nothing happens when you press the foot pedal, there could be several reasons: * The Pactosafe might not be connected to a mains socket. Ensure it is properly connected. * The switch might not be turned on. Turn on the switch. * There might be no signal from the foot pedal. Check the connection and for any damage; shorten or replace if necessary. * The Pactosafe might be starting up. The system requires 5 seconds to become operational. * The battery might be discharged.
