The UHMW Saw Base offers total control for straight-line action and attaches to ProGrip Straight edge clamps.
Unplug the circular saw and remove the saw blade from the unit.
Apply masking tape to saw plate ends to create a surface for marking mounting hole locations.
Identify flat areas on the saw base plate and mark screw locations on the applied masking tape.
Drill pilot holes with a 1/8" bit, then enlarge to 1/4" for mounting screws.
Remove masking tape and deburr the four drilled mounting holes.
Apply masking tape strips to the Pro-Grip Saw Base for marking mounting hole locations.
Align the saw's edge with the Pro-Grip Saw Base edge and center it for accurate cutting.
Mark mounting hole positions on tape runners using a drill bit and hammer, ensuring edge alignment.
Clearly mark the drill locations identified in the previous step using a fine-tip marker or pencil.
Drill the four mounting holes and remove the tape runners from the Pro-Grip Saw Base.
Countersink the four mounting holes from the bottom of the saw base for flush screw heads.
Mount the saw using 1/4" flat head screws, lock washers, and wing nuts, ensuring edge alignment.
Plug in the saw, turn it on, and slowly plunge the blade through the Pro-Grip Saw Base.
Ensure clearance below the saw blade before plunging to avoid damaging the surface below.
