OPERATING
GUIDE
CONTROL
OPERATION
1.
Bypass
Switch.
The
Bypass
Switch
is
a
two-position
mini-toggle
located
on
the
face
of
the
instrument.
its
purpose
is
to
allow
the
player
to
convienently
switch
to
the
passive
mode
in
the
event
of
battery
mal-
function
or
failure.
The
up
position
of
the
switch
is
passive
and
bypasses
the
internal
preamp.
This
allows
normal
(passive)
operation
of
the
TL-Five.
In
the
passive
mode,
the
Volume
and
Blend
controls
are
operational
and
the
High
Control
is
converted
to
a
standard
high
rolloif
tone
control.
NOTE:
If
the
Bypass
Switch
is
operated
when
signal
is
present,
an
audible
"pop"
may
occur.
This
is
due
to
the
rapid
change
in
signal
level
sent
to
the
input
of
the
bass
guitar
amplifier.
The
down
position
is
active
and
engages
the
TL-Five
preamp
with
its
active
tone
controls.
2.
Blend
Control.
The
Blend
Control
is
offered
for
a
wider
variety
of
sounds
than
available
from
con-
ventional
pickup
selector
switches.
It
may
be
varied
from
the
neck
pickup
(full
clockwise
-
CW)
to
the
center
detent
(both
pickups)
to
the
bridge
pickup
(full
counterclockwise
-
CCW)
or
any
biend
in
between,
Due
to
the
nature
of
this
control,
neither
pickup
is
turned
fully
off.
3.
Volume
Control.
This
controlisconventional
with full
output
in
the
CW
position
and
no
output
in
the
CCW
position.
4.
High
Control,
The
High
Control
is
centered
at2.5
KHz
and
has +12
dB
boost
(CW)
and
-12
dB
cut
(CCW).
5.
Mid
Control.
A
Mid
Control
has
been
included
and
is
of
the
peak/notch
variety.
This
control
operates
from
100
Hz
to
2
kHz
with
notch
centers
at
300
Hz
(CCW)
