Additional safety rules for the bandsaw
WARNING: Failure to follow these rules could result
in serious injury.
1. If you are not familiar with the operation of
metal band saws, get advice from your
supervisor, instructor or another qualied
person.
2. Ensure that wiring codes and recommended
electrical connection instructions are followed,
and that the machine is properly grounded.
3. Do all adjustments when the power is off.
4. Adjust and position the blade guides before you
start sawing.
5. Stop the bandsaw before attaching the
workpiece to the anvil.
6. Always hold the workpiece rmly in the anvil
before you start sawing.
7. Make sure the blade is not in contact with the
workpiece before turning on the power switch.
8. Always keep hands and ngers away from the
blade when the machine is running.
9. Never drop the saw blade on the workpiece.
10. Stop the machine before removing shavings
and chips.
11. Disconnect the machine from the power source
during the service.
12. Replace all guards after service.
Unpacking and cleaning
NOTE: the cover photo illustrates the current
production model. All other illustrations are only
representative and may not describe actual color,
marking or accessories.
Carefully unpack the machine and any loose items
from the box. Remove the protective coating from
all unpainted surfaces. This coating can be
removed with a soft cloth dampened with kerosene
(do not use acetone, petrol or paint thinner for this
purpose). After cleaning, the repainted surfaces
should be covered with a layer of high-quality oor
wax.
WARNING! If any of the parts are missing, DO NOT
attempt to assemble, install or use your metal band
saw until the missing parts have been found or
replaced and your metal band saw has been
correctly and properly assembled according to
these operating instructions. Do not throw away
the packaging material until you have carefully
inspected the bandsaw, identied all the parts.
NOTE! If any parts are damaged or missing, do not
attempt to plug in the power cord and turn on the
power switch before the damage or missing parts
are repaired and installed properly.
NOTE: This bandsaw comes in two shipping boxes,
one is for the oor stand and the other is for the
saw body.
