Description of Keyboard Modes

CM6700 Mode

Program and operate the CM6700 Matrix Switcher/Controller Unit (SCU).

CM6800 Mode

Program and operate the CM6800 Matrix Switcher/Controller Unit (SCU).

Direct P Mode

Control up to 16 receivers connected directly to the keyboard.

CM6700 ASCII Mode

Supports CM6700 matrix auxiliary commands and relays.

CM6800 ASCII Mode

Supports CM6800 GPI commands and relays.

Direct D Mode

Similar to Direct P Protocol, uses same commands in Direct D.

Installation - CM6700 Mode

Connecting a Keyboard to the Local Keyboard Port

Connects a single keyboard to the LOCAL KEYBOARD port within 25 feet.

Connecting Keyboards to the Remote Keyboard(s) Port

Connects multiple keyboards using KBDKIT/KBDKIT-X to the REMOTE KEYBOARD(S) port.

Installation - CM6800 Mode

Connecting KBD300 A Direct-Powered Keyboards

Connects direct-powered keyboards to COM 5/6 (CM6800-48X8) or COM 5 (CM6800-32X6).

Connecting KBD300 A Remote Keyboards

Connects remote keyboards using KBDKIT/KBDKIT-X to CM6800 COM 5, 6, 7, or 8.

Installation - CM6700 ASCII Mode

RS-232 Interface (CM6700)

Installs an ASCII keyboard using an RS-232 connection with a converter.

RS-422 Interface (CM6700)

Installs an ASCII keyboard using an RS-422 connection.

Installation - CM6800 ASCII Mode

RS-232 Interface (CM6800)

Installs an ASCII keyboard using an RS-232 connection and converter.

RS-485 Interface (CM6800)

Installs an ASCII keyboard using an RS-485 connection.

Installation - Direct Mode

Connecting the Keyboard

Connects the keyboard directly to a maximum of 16 receivers using Pelco P or D Protocol.

Switch Settings

Keyboard Addresses

Sets unique addresses for each keyboard using switches 1-4.

Keyboard Modes

Configures keyboard operational modes using switches 5, 7, and 8.

Programming and Operation

Select Monitor

Selects the monitor number for operation.

Select Camera

Selects the camera to view, potentially restricted by system settings.

Pan;Tilt;Zoom Control

Controls camera movement and zoom speed using the joystick.

Lens Control

Adjusts focus and iris using dedicated lens control keys.

Presets

Sets, programs, and recalls camera preset positions.

Patterns

Programs and operates camera movement patterns (auto, random, frame, preset).

Sequence

Steps through cameras sequentially, displaying status and time.

Macro Sequence

Starts a group camera sequence for macro programming.

Multiplexer Displays

Controls display of multiple camera images on the monitor using F1-F3 keys.

Auxiliaries;Relays

Controls built-in or external auxiliaries and relays.

Acknowledge

Acknowledges alarms or halts pattern programming.

Alarm

Provides information on handling alarms.

Program (CM6700;CM6800)

Enters programming mode for CM6700/CM6800 switchers.

LED Indicator

Indicates monitor, camera, receiver number, or program mode.

Firmware Version

Shows firmware version on power up (for versions prior to 4.0).
