Defrosting
Freezer section
After a period of time, some ice will form in the freezer. Remove this ice
regularly. You can use a plastic scraper for this purpose. For the freezer
to work as best as possible, you must defrost it completely if a layer of
ice forms which is 3-5 cm thick.
• The day before you defrost, set the thermostat at its highest to
freeze the food in the freezer as deeply as possible.
• Before defrosting, the food from the freezer must be wrapped
in several layers of blankets or newspaper and stored in a cool
place. The unavoidable temperature increase of the frozen food
will shorten the period it can be stored. Remember to eat this food
within a reasonable time.
• Set the thermostat knob to “0” and switch the appliance off.
• Leave the door open to speed up the defrosting process.
