  If the beam doesn't move when weighing someone on your Pelstar Scales, it might be due to a couple of reasons. First, the poise weight could be set higher than the patient's actual weight, so try resetting the weights to a lower setting. Second, there might be an issue with the steel rod connection. Double-check the "Assembly Instructions" on page 5 to ensure it's connected correctly.

How to fix questionable weight on Pelstar Scales?

  If your Pelstar Scales show a questionable weight or the scale doesn't center equally in the trig loop when the poise weight is at "0", it might be because the bar isn't balanced at "0". To fix this, make sure the balance ball is adjusted so the pointer rests in the center of the trig-loop with both poise weights at "0". Also, ensure the upper and lower poise weights are firmly against the shoulder of the beam. You can adjust the balance ball screw by turning the screw at the left end of the bar until it's balanced.

  If the bar on your Pelstar Scales isn't moving freely, it could be sticking or need adjustment. Check if the pointer is touching the side of the trig loop as it moves; if it is, you might need to realign the beam. Also, make sure the upper and lower poise weights are firmly against the shoulder of the beam. Try adjusting the balance ball screw by turning the screw at the left end of the bar.
