What does it mean when my Pentair ULTRATEMP 120 displays a low water temperature alarm?

A low water temperature alarm on your Pentair Heat Pump indicates that the water temperature is below 40°F [4.4°C]. This can be caused by a bad thermistor or control board, or debris shorting the connections. First, test the water temperature to see if the reading is correct. If it is not, use the 10k ohm resistance test to verify the thermistor. Replace the thermistor if it is bad, otherwise, replace the control board. Also, remove any debris or replace the PCB.
