4. Batteries
Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to
recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Dispose of batteries in accordance with local
regulations. Keep batteries away from children.
• Open the battery compartment and insert the batteries according to the correct
polarity.
• Replace the batteries as soon as the display turns dark.
• Remove the batteries after use.

6. Operation
6.1 General Operation
1. Place the scale on a solid, level and non-slippery surface.
2. Switch on the scale. The scale is ready-to-use when the display shows 0.
3. Place the item to be weighed or the tare item in the middle of the weighing
platform.
4. To tare an item, tap the tare button. Place the item to be weighed on the scale.
5. The weight is displayed.
The display shows a negative value if a (tare) weight has been removed from the scale.
Press the on-off/zero/tare button to clear the display.
6.3 Time/Temperature Display
In the off status, the scale will display the time and indoor temperature.
