What to do if the Perkin-Elmer Analytical Instruments furnace still contains a sample while trying to load a new one?

If the furnace still contains a sample when you are trying to load a new one, it could be due to several reasons: * The sample was not properly picked out of the furnace: check if the gripper fingers are bent. * Incorrect horizontal baseplate adjustment: replace the gripper assembly or adjust the baseplate. * The AS 8000 run was interrupted: recalibrate the AS 8000. * If none of the above help, reset the parent instrument and setup link again.
