Step 3: Charging
While charging, either the Red or Green light will blink (depending on whether it passed
or failed initial test).
The Cradle will check if the Ecolite is charging once per minute for up to 4 hours. An
Ecolite with a completely discharged battery will charge in under 4 hours (typically 2.5
hours).
Step 4: Failed to Charge
If the Ecolite fails to charge completely in under 4 hours, the Red light will turn on solid
(not flash). This is an indication that the Ecolite is defective and cannot accept charge.
Step 5: Charge Complete
If the Ecolite charges properly, two things can happen depending on whether or not the
Ecolite passed the initial test:
1. If the Ecolite passed the initial test, the Green light will turn on solid (not flash)
indicating the initial test was passed and the Ecolite charged correctly. You may
now remove and use the Ecolite collar.
2. If the Ecolite failed the initial test, the Cradle will now perform another test since
the battery is now charged. If the Ecolite passes this test, the Green light will
turn on solid (not flash) indicating the Ecolite has both charged properly and
passed test. You may now remove and use the Ecolite collar. If the Ecolite still
fails to pass test, the Red light will turn on solid (not flash). This is an indication
that the Ecolite is defective and cannot respond properly to signal.
Step 6: Remove Ecolite
Pull straight up on Ecolite to remove you may push retaining arm away from top of
Ecolite to facilitate removal.
