3 Engage clutch by turning the lever
counterclockwise to the “locked” position
4 Lift the plastic latch cover, and align waste unit vertically above
motor unit, push down lightly until waste unit aligns and latches
engage (you will hear a “CLICK”).

Make sure the waste unit
and motor unit are fully
engaged and there is no
gap between them (A).

Make sure that latch is
engaged (B).

Next, place the straight end of the litter rake into the hole in the waste
unit (A). Then insert the curved end into the rake slot with the end point-
ing upward (B). Note: you will need to hold the rake safety door
open to assemble the litter rake properly. When you release the
rake safety door, it will spring closed.
6 Close the latch cover (A). The rake safety door should always be
closed (B).
