3 Get started
Always follow the instructions in this chapter in
sequence.
Install battery
Caution
• The batteries contain chemical substances, so they
should be disposed of properly.
Note
• The batteries can only back up clock and alarm settings
when AC power is disconnected.
1 Open the battery compartment.
2 Insert two AAA batteries (not supplied)
with correct polarity (+/-) as illustrated.
3 Close the battery compartment.
Connect power
Caution
• Risk of product damage! Make sure that the power
voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the back
or underside of the radio.
• Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the AC cord,
always pull the plug from the socket. Never pull the cord.
Connect the AC power plug to the wall socket.
Note
• The display backlight is off when AC power is
disconnected.
Set time
Note
• Make sure that the radio is in standby mode.
1 Press and hold SET TIME for two seconds
to activate clock setting mode.
» The hour and minute digits blink.
2 Press HOUR repeatedly to set hour.
3 Press MIN repeatedly to set minute.
4 Press SET TIMEagaintoconrm.
» The set time is displayed.
