My Philips Avent Baby monitor exceeds the
standard charging time
Is the parent unit of your Philips Avent Baby monitor taking more time to fully charge than the
indicated charging time? Find out what is causing this so you can try and solve this issue
yourself.
The parent unit is turned on
If the parent unit of your Philips Avent Baby monitor is turned on while charging, the charging
time will take longer than indicated. Turn off the parent unit during charging to reduce the
charging time.
Charging it for the first time
If you charge the parent unit for the first time, it will take longer to fully charge the parent unit of
your Philips Avent Baby monitor. This is also the case if you have not used your Philips Avent
Baby monitor for a while. After fully charging it for the first time it should meet the standard
charging time again.
