Safety instru c tions
1. G eneral safety
Safety regulations require that during a repair:
. C onnect the unit to the mains via an isolation transformer.
. R eplace safety com ponents indicated by the sym bol
,
only by com ponents identical to the original ones. Any other
com ponent substitution (other than original type) may
increase risk of fire or electrical shock hazard.
Safety regulations require that after a repair, you must return
the unit in its original condition. Pay, in particular, attention to
the follow ing points:
. R oute the w ires/cables correctly, and fix them w ith the
m ounted cable clam ps.
. C heck the insulation of the m ains lead for external
dam age.
. C heck the electrical DC resistance betw een the mains plug
and the secondary side:
1) U nplug the m ains cord, and connect a w ire betw een
the two pins of the mains plug.
2) S et the m ains sw itch the “on” position (keep the
mains cord unplug).
3) M easure the resistance value betw een the m ains
plug and the front panel, controls, and chassis
bottom .
4) Repair or correct unit w hen the resistance
m easurem ent is less than 1M

5) Verify this, before you return the unit to the
custom er/user (ref. UL-standard no. 1492).
6) Switch the unitoff, and rem ove the w ire betw een
the two pins of the mains plug.
2.Laser safety
This unit em ploys a laser. Only qualified service personnel
may rem ove the cover, or attem pt to service this device (due
to possible eye injury).
