The

the

a
tape.
Playback

one
side
(deck

B)
Press
the
EJECT
button
to
open
the
cassette
holder
of
the
corresponding
deck.
Insert
a
recorded
cassette
with
the
open
side
facing
down¬
wards.
Close
the
cassette
holder.
Press
PLAY
MODE
1
until
the
indicator
HZ
lights
up.
If
desired,
switch
on
the
Dolby
B/C
noise
reduction
system
by
pressing
DOLBY
B/C
8.
Press
PLAY
or
on
the
keyboard
of
the
corresponding
deck
or
choose
a
deck
with
DECK
A
or
DECK
B,
a
direction
with
(if
necessary)
and
press
PLAY
on
the
remote
con¬
trol.
The
display
shows
the
chosen
deck,
TAPE
A
or
TAPE
B.
The
playing
direction
is
shown
by
the
direction
indicators
on
the
cassette
holders.
The
deck
plays
one
cassette
side
and
the
tape
stops
auto¬
matically
at
the
end
of
a
side.
Press
STOP

remote
control
to
stop
playback.

Playback

If
you
want

play
both

The
deck
plays
both
sides
of
the
cassette
and
the
tape
stops
automatically
at
the
end
of
the
second
side
of
the
tape.
Continuous
playback
with
one
cassette
(deck
A
or
B)
If
you
want
to
play
one
tape
in
one
deck
continuously,
proceed
as
described
under
'Playback
of
one
side'
but
select
CD
with
the
PLAY
MODE
selector
1.
The
selected
deck
keeps
on
playing
both
sides
of
the
cassette
(up
to
a
maximum
of
six
times)
until
you
press
STOP
on
the
playing
deck
or
STOP
on
the
remote
control.
Continuous
playback
with
two
cassettes
(deck
A
and
B)
This
option
lets
you
play
both
sides
of
two
cassettes
continu¬
ously.
When
the
first
deck
has
played
both
sides
of
the
cas¬
sette
the
deck
switches
to
the
second
deck
and
starts
playing
both
sides
of
the
cassette.
After
playing
both
sides
of
the
cas¬
sette
in
the
second
deck
it
switches
back
to
the
first
deck
to
start
again.
Each
cassette
is
played
a
maximum
of
three
times.
Insert
a
recorded
cassette
into
both
cassette
holders
as
indi¬
cated
above.
Press
PLAY
MODE
1
until
the
indicator
autoplay
lights
up.
If
desired,
switch
on
the
Dolby
B/C
noise
reduction
system
by
pressing
DOLBY
B/C
8.
Press

The
cassette
deck
automatically
switches
to
CD
mode.
AUTOMATIC
TAPE
DETECTION
AND
SELECTION

The
presence
of
a
cassette
in
the
cassette
holder
is
detected.
When
no
cassette
is
inserted
in
the
cassette
holder,
no
tape
action
can
be
started.

When
a
cassette
is
inserted
in
the
cassette
holder,
the
deck
will
always
automatically
select
the
tape
type
(NORMAL
or
Cr02)
as
soon
as
the
cassette
holder
is
closed.

is
not
possible
to
make
a
recording
when
the
autoplay
mode
is
selected
with
PLAY
MODE
1.
The
cassette
deck
will
auto¬
matically
switch
to
the
mode
for
playback
of
both
sides.
Press
EJECT
to
open
the
cassette
holder
of
deck
B.
insert
a
cassette
which
is
not
protected
against
recording,
with
the
open
side
facing
downwards.
Close
the
cassette
holder.
If
desired,
switch
on
the
Dolby
B/C
noise
reduction
system
by
pressing
DOLBY
B/C
8.
Select
the
sound
source
on
your
remote
control
or
on
the
system
(for
PHONO
only
on
your
amplifier)
from
which
you
wish
to
make
a
recording.

select
the
play
mode
HZ
or
CT.

RECORD
PREPARED

to
set
deck
B
in
the
record-
pause
mode.
The
red
RECORD
indicator
starts
flashing.
Press
PLAY
or
to
start
the
recording
in
the
left
or
right
direction.
The
red
RECORD
indicator
lights
up.
Press
the
STOP
key
to
stop
recording
before
the
end
of
the
tape.
Notes:
-
The
system
is
equipped
with
an
Automatic
Level
Control
(ALC).
The
record
level
is
adjusted
automatically
and
can
not
be
adjusted
manually.
-
Recording
is
only
possible
when
deck
A
is
not
playing.
Fast
winding
of
deck
A
to
left
or
right
is
however
possible.
-
It
is
not
possible
to
change
the
tape
playing
direction
during
recording.
