- Carefully insert the cylinder through the hole at the bottom of the soda maker. Do not drop it.
- Once the cylinder reaches the bottom, screw it clockwise until it is fastened. Avoid overtightening to prevent damage to the threads.
- To replace the cylinder, lay the soda maker on its side, unscrew the cylinder counterclockwise, and carefully pull it out.
- Carbonating Bottle Preparation:
- Rinse the carbonating bottle with cold water before its first use.
- Fill the bottle with clean, cold drinking water up to the marked fill line. Do not exceed this line.
- Important Safety Note: Only use clean, clear cold water. Do not add fruit slices, ice, or flavorings to the carbonating bottle before carbonation. These should be added after the carbonation process is complete. Do not carbonate into an empty bottle.
Operating the Soda Maker (Let the fun begin):
- Attach the Carbonating Bottle: Screw the filled carbonating bottle into the carbonating bottle socket. Screw counterclockwise when viewed from above. Ensure it is properly seated but do not overtighten.
- Carbonate the Water: Press the button downwards firmly until you hear a sound from the valve. Each carbonation cycle should last 2-3 seconds.
- Safety Warning: Do not continuously carbonate for over 5 seconds at a time, as this can lead to gas waste or personal injury.
- For more carbonation, repeat the process.
- Ventilate the Bottle: After pressing the button, release it back to the horizontal position when you hear a buzzing sound (typically after 3 seconds). Allow the button to release itself. The remaining pressure in the carbonating bottle will be released with a puff sound.
- Enjoy: Once the ventilation is complete, the sparkling water is ready. Unscrew the carbonating bottle and enjoy.
General Safety Warnings:
- Bottle Compatibility: Only use Philips carbonating bottles specifically designed for this soda maker. Using bottles from other brands can damage the machine and pose safety risks. Damages from using non-Philips bottles are not covered by the warranty.
- Bottle Condition: Do not use deformed, discolored, or scratched bottles. Always check the expiration date and condition of the bottle before each use. Replace expired, damaged, or deformed bottles.

- Keep the cylinder away from heat sources and direct sunlight, in a cool, ventilated place. Do not expose it to temperatures above 50°C.
- High concentrations of CO2 can cause asphyxiation. The cylinder contains liquefied gas and may explode if heated (H280). Liquid contact can cause freezing burns.
- Do not put the cylinder in the freezer or fridge. If frozen, do not use it and keep it away from your body.
- Do not use the cylinder's contents for preparing baby food.
- Do not attempt to puncture, throw, or burn the cylinder.
- Do not transport the soda maker with the cylinder attached.
- Keep cylinders away from children.
- Appliance Use:
- Always use the soda maker in an upright position.
- Do not move the soda maker while it is carbonating.
- Keep the soda maker away from children. It is not recommended for use by children under 12 without adult supervision.
