  If the brew group cannot be inserted into your Philips Coffee Maker, it might be because the brew group is not in the correct position. Ensure the lever is in contact with the base and the hook is correctly positioned. If that doesn't work, reset the machine by switching it on and off, place the drip tray and coffee grounds container back, leave the brew group out, close the service door, switch the machine on and off, and then try reinserting the brew group.

  If the milk does not froth in your Philips Coffee Maker, clean the carafe and make sure it is correctly positioned and inserted. Also, check that the milk froth dispensing spout has been fully opened and that all components of the milk carafe have been assembled correctly. The type of milk used can also affect frothing; semi-skimmed, full-fat cow’s milk, soy milk and lactose-free milk have been tested and deliver good results. If you have an AMF model, clean the automatic milk frother and ensure it is correctly assembled or installed.

  If the drip tray of your Philips Coffee Maker is quickly filled, this is normal. The machine uses water to rinse the internal circuit and brew group, and some water flows directly into the drip tray. Empty the drip tray when the ‘drip tray full’ indicator appears, and place a cup under the dispensing spout to collect rinsing water.
