Overview

The Philips Respironics Detachable Battery Module is designed to power your BiPAP A40 device using a rechargeable Lithium-ion detachable battery. When the detachable battery is inserted into the module and connected to the BiPAP A40 device, it will automatically recharge. For more detailed information on the detachable battery, refer to the instructions included with the Detachable Battery Pack.

Important Cautions:

  • Do not open the Detachable Battery Module case. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the module. Opening the case may void warranties or cause damage.
  • Avoid exposure to water or conductive liquids. The Detachable Battery Module is not a sealed case and exposure to such substances can lead to damage or malfunction.
  • Use only specified Lithium-ion batteries. It is crucial to use only Philips Respironics Lithium-ion batteries (models 1055804 and 1043570) with this module. Using other types of batteries may result in bursting, causing injury or damage to the device.

Connecting the Detachable Battery Module:

To connect the battery module to your BiPAP A40 device and install the detachable battery, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the side cover on the therapy device: Locate the tab on the side cover, press it in, and pull the cover away from the device. This exposes the connection port for the battery module.
  2. Align the module and device: Position the Detachable Battery Module and the therapy device side by side. Ensure that the guides on the module align and fit into the corresponding slots on the therapy device. This alignment is critical for a secure and proper connection.
  3. Secure the connection: Press the two units together firmly until they audibly snap into place. Verify that the therapy device and the battery module are completely seated against each other, forming a stable and integrated unit.
  4. Insert the detachable battery: As illustrated in the manual, insert the detachable battery into the battery module until it snaps securely into place. Once the battery is inserted, close the lid on the battery module to protect it and ensure it remains in position.
