A hearing aid will not restore normal hearing and will not
prevent or improve a hearing impairment resulting from
organic conditions. Infrequent use of a hearing aid does not
permit a user to attain full benet from it. The use of a
hearing aid is only part of hearing habilitation and may
need to be supplemented by auditory training and
instruction in lipreading.
The hearing aid is suitable for the home healthcare
environment and due to their portability it may happen that
it is used in professional healthcare facility environment like
physician oces, dental oces etc.
Target population:
The target population is primarily the adult population over
18 years of age. This product may also be used with
children 36 months of age or older. Mentally challenged
users will require constant supervision by a caregiver.
The target group for the Phonak Tinnitus Balance software
feature are adults 18 years of age or older with tinnitus who
also desire amplication.
