Why is there noise/static on my Phonex Broadband Telephone System?
    • P
      Pamela HartJul 28, 2025
If you experience noise or static while using your Phonex Broadband Telephone System, it's often due to electrical interference. Try moving the base and/or extension unit to a different electrical outlet, ideally one away from other devices that may cause interference. Alternatively, you can use an A/C line filter with the device causing the interference, but do not plug the Easy Jack 2 base or extension unit into an A/C filter.

What to do if base unit’s indicator light is solid red on Phonex Broadband Easy Jack 2?
    • B
      Brittany SmithAug 1, 2025
If the base unit's indicator light is solid red, it could mean that the extension unit hasn't been installed or that it can't communicate with the base unit. First, make sure the extension unit is properly installed. If the problem continues, you might need to program the link code on the extension unit to match the base unit. If the problem still persists, contact customer support at 1-800 437-0101, ext. 140.

How to fix no dial tone on Phonex Broadband Telephone System?
    • D
      david02Aug 5, 2025
If you're not getting a dial tone on your Phonex Broadband Telephone System, check the indicator lights on the base and extension units to ensure they are green. If not, refer to the troubleshooting steps for indicator lights. Also, verify that the telephone cord connects the extension unit to your desired device (satellite receiver, phone, fax machine, etc.) and that the wall phone jack is connected to the base unit using the provided six-foot phone cord. Try replacing the phone cords to rule out any faulty connections. Finally, if the extension unit has a solid red indicator light, try moving the base and/or extension unit to another electrical outlet.

      christopherjohnsonAug 10, 2025
If the indicator light is not illuminated on your Phonex Broadband Telephone System base unit or extension, ensure the unit is plugged directly into a working A/C outlet. Avoid using switched outlets, plug strips, surge suppressors, extension cords, or GFCI-protected outlets. Try different electrical outlets to see if that resolves the issue.

If the extension unit's indicator light is solid red on your Phonex Broadband Telephone System, it likely means the extension unit cannot communicate with the base unit. Ensure the base unit is correctly installed. Try relocating either the base or extension unit to a different electrical outlet.
