Function Description:
The Pifco P44018 is a portable dehumidifier designed to reduce humidity levels in a room. It operates by drawing in moist air, removing excess moisture, and then releasing drier air back into the environment. The collected water is stored in a removable tank, or can be continuously drained via a separate pipe. The device features a control panel for adjusting settings such as fan speed, humidity level, and a timer. It is intended for domestic use and aims to improve air quality by preventing issues related to high humidity, such as mold and mildew growth.

Usage Features:
- Placement: The dehumidifier should be placed with at least 20cm of free space around it for optimal operation.
- Power On/Off: Press the power button once to start or stop operation. The power indicator light will turn green when plugged in.
- Fan Speed Adjustment: The fan speed adjust button allows toggling between low and high fan speeds.
- Humidity Level Setting: The humidity adjust button sets the desired room humidity level, ranging from 40% to 80% in 5% intervals. The compressor and fan will stop when the room humidity reaches 2% below the selected level and restart when it rises 2% above it.
- Timer Function: The timer adjust button sets an automatic start time from 1 to 24 hours. To cancel the timer, press the timer button until it reaches "00" or press the power button. The timer will not work if the room humidity is above the selected humidity setting.
- Water Tank Full Indicator: When the 2.2L water tank is full, the "Water full LED" will illuminate, the dehumidifier will automatically switch off, and emit 15 beeps.
- Water Tank Removal: To remove the water tank, lightly press on its sides with both hands and pull it out gently.
- Continuous Water Drainage: The unit has a continuous drainage port. A plastic pipe with an inner diameter of 10mm (not supplied) can be inserted into the drain hole for continuous drainage to a suitable drain. Ensure the pipe is set in the notch of the water tank and unit body.
- Water Tank Float: Do not remove the float from the water tank, as this will prevent correct water level detection and may cause leaks.
- Troubleshooting Guide: The manual includes a troubleshooting section to address common issues such as the unit not operating, the dehumidifying function not working, no air being discharged, or the unit being noisy. Solutions typically involve checking power connections, emptying/repositioning the water tank, cleaning the air filter, or ensuring stable placement.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning the Body: Wipe the body with a soft damp cloth.
- Cleaning the Air Filter:
- Lift the handle and slide the filter grille up.
- Remove the filter from the filter grille.
- Run a vacuum cleaner lightly over the surface of the air filter to remove dirt.
- If the air filter is exceptionally dirty, wash it with warm water and a mild cleanser, then dry thoroughly.
- Reverse the procedure to replace the filter into the dehumidifier.
- Storage: If the unit is not used for a long period, empty any water from the tank, fold up the power supply cord, clean the air filter, and store it in a safe, dry place, out of reach of children.
- Safety during Cleaning: DO NOT immerse any electrical part of the appliance (motor units or plugs) in water.
- Disposal: The appliance bears a symbol indicating it should not be disposed of with domestic rubbish. Users are required to dispose of old electrical and electronic appliances separately, in accordance with WEEE directive guidelines, by taking them to a local Civic Amenity site for recycling.
