Maximum braking efiect during short landings can be obtained
by holding full back an the control wheel with Raps up while apply-
ing brakes. This iorces the tail down and puts more load on the
main wheels, resulting in better traction.

motor. With he electric motor disengaged from the gear torque
tube, as required in extending the par manually, there is no mech-
anism for I~~lrhg the gear in the up pwitirm, srr hat tlie gear will
not skny up ii retracted manually.

To exte~~d the gear, rernnve the cover uver the emergency
disengage cuntn)l, lncoted between the two hn~ seats, and follow the
iristruc~ion on the bark ;r l this cover, as iollows:

re-engaging the electric motor to the landing gear extension torque
tube should be done as folhws:
(1) Landing gear switch in center "oil" position.
