What to do if hydraulic systems are not working properly on my PITBULL Compact Loader?

If your PITBULL Compact Loader's hydraulic systems aren't working correctly, start by checking and topping up the hydraulic oil. If the hydraulic oil is too hot or cold, allow the machine to cool down at idle without any load, ensuring the combination cooler is clear, or bring the machine up to operating temperature, respectively. Make sure the engine speed is sufficient by depressing the accelerator pedal. Ensure the correct power distribution is selected using the rotary wheel on the joystick. Avoid overloading hydraulic functions. Lubricate all lubrication points to reduce hinge point resistance. Change the hydraulic oil filter and return filter if they are dirty. Also, check the return line and lower the hydraulic oil level if the return doesn't flow to the tank quickly enough.

If your PITBULL Compact Loader isn't driving but the engine is running, make sure the parking brake is released and that you're properly seated so the seat sensor detects you. Ensure the brake pedal isn't depressed and check all fuses. Verify the drive isn't in neutral; switch to the desired driving direction. Also, ensure the drive is unlocked and that there's enough hydraulic oil.

      Dr. Ryan LewisAug 27, 2025
If your PITBULL Compact Loader has reduced power, replace the fuel filter if it's clogged, and clean or change the air filter if it's clogged. Drain and replace old fuel with fresh fuel. Avoid unnecessary hydraulic functions when using others. Warm up the machine before loading it if the engine temperature is too low. Check the engine oil filter and engine oil level to ensure proper lubrication.

    • O
      ogarciaSep 6, 2025

What causes the driving motor of my PITBULL Compact Loader to get too hot?
    • L
      Lisa SnyderSep 3, 2025
If the driving motor of your PITBULL Compact Loader gets too hot, allow the machine to cool down in between uses if there's a prolonged heavy load. Lower the hydraulic oil level and check the return line if the return oil doesn't flow away fast enough to the tank. Reduce travel speed and relieve the strain on the working hydraulics as much as possible if the working hydraulics are heavily loaded while driving. If the hydraulic oil is too hot, allow the machine to cool at idle speed without load, and ensure the combination cooler is free of dirt or cover.
