8.2 Cleaning of the drain pump filter
❖ We strongly recommend cleaning the drain pump filter regularly (at least every
two month).
You must clean the drain pump filter if the appliance does not drain the water
properly or does not run the spinning programme.
You must clean the drain pump filter if the pump is blocked by any foreign object
(e.g., buttons, coins etc.).
WARNING! Do not clean the drain pump filter while the appliance is in
operation! Switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains
before.
WARNING! If there is hot water in the appliance, ensure before
residual water drainage that the water has cooled down completely. RISK
OF SCALDING! RISK OF BURNS!
1. Switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains.
2. Flap the cover panel (A) downwards.

3. Place a container in front of the opening.
4. You have two options for draining the water from the appliance.
a) Drain the water using the water drainpipe (see also chapter 8.3 RESIDUAL
WATER DRAINAGE).
b) Wait until the water has drained completely.
c) Unscrew the drain pump filter completely and remove it.
